Madison International Partners serves thousands of international students, visiting scholars, immigrants, refugees, and their families

English Language Learning

English as a Second Language (ESL) – Beginner and intermediate classes are held Monday through Thursday mornings and on Thursday evenings.

English Conversation Time, In Person and Online – Multiple sessions each week for practicing English, making friends, and learning about different cultures.

Cross-Cultural Events

Global Spouse Circle – Weekly gatherings to help international spouses/partners find friendship and support.

International Friendship Hour – Weekly drop-in event on UW Madison’s campus to ask questions, practice English conversation, or just have lunch with new friends.

International Cooking & Dinner –Come and cook your favorite dish from your home country, then join in a truly global culinary experience!

Other Seasonal Activities – Apple picking, ice skating, sightseeing tours, and more!

Newcomer Assistance

Airport/Bus Pickup – International students receive a warm welcome and safe transportation at the beginning of the school year.

Career Development Workshops – Free workshops focused on all aspects of a U.S. job search.

Temporary Hosting – Short-term hosting in American homes while newcomers wait for their permanent housing to be ready.
