Other Volunteer Opportunities
Apple Picking & Picnic
Each year in September, Madison International Partners organizes a visit to an apple orchard followed by a picnic at an American home. This excursion is a great opportunity to welcome new international community members, help them make friends, and show them the countryside of Wisconsin. Volunteers are needed to help drive participants to and from the orchard and enjoy the picnic with other volunteers and international guests from all around the world.
The 2025 event will be held on Monday, September 1 (Labor Day). Sign up here to help with this activity.

Temporary Hosting
Temporary Hosting gives Madison residents the opportunity to open their homes to an international student for up to four nights when they first arrive in Madison as a way to welcome them and help ease the transition to their new environment. If you are a Madison resident who has a spare bedroom or couch and are willing to host an international student for two to four days at the beginning of each semester, please click here to volunteer.

Tour of Madison
Volunteer drivers use their own cars to transport students around town following a provided tour route. The tour begins with an orientation for drivers and readers at Pres House (730 State Street) and ends with a light reception at one of our members’ homes. Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Please click here to volunteer.

Work with our Board or on a Committee
Do you have a welcoming attitude and enjoy interacting with people from other countries? Volunteering with the Board of Directors or a committee might be a great fit. Make friends with like-minded Madison area residents and help warmly welcome and support international visitors from across the world.
Email Madison International Partners Executive Director, Jean-Rene Watchou, here for more details, or call (608) 501-3345.
